The Deathly Hallows!

After a year long wait, the 7th edition to Harry Potter hit the screens yesterday. The opening here in India has been excellent, with the movie running full house in many multiplexes all around the country! The Potter craze has surely not died down even though the book released 3 years back!

And quite appropriately, director David Yates and screenplay writer Steve Kloves have made a brilliant decision to split the final book into two parts the second of which is awaiting worldwide release 8 months from now!

The movie is a classic! Personally, it is the best so far closely followed by the Goblet of Fire which released in 2005. The expectation was definitely high, these being the last two installments of the 'phenomenon' and the thrilling trio have pulled it through quite amazingly!

Ron (Rupert Grint) has matured a lot as an actor and Hermione (Emma Watson) is as graceful as ever! The movie has sequences where you just don't know whom to look at, particularly because the cinematography is so faultless!

The dark lord's rising powers against a dilapidated Order running out of Auror resources, this movie sets up the finale due next July, almost perfectly!  The brilliance in direction is apparent as the movie ends with no sign of incompleteness, although it supposedly covers half the story!

To imagine is one thing, but to give shape to your imagination is quite different! David Yates has done enormous justice to Rowling's characters and the real-like experience of the Deathly Hallows is unlike any other fantasy series there is!

Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) plays a sparingly subdued role in this movie particularly with the individual skills and talents of Ron and Hermione on show. But, even then... the child who once appeared in a little known fantasy movie about a decade back has become finer over the years!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part - 1 is a must watch! The Social Networking had definitely been topping my charts of latest films you can not do without but Harry Potter and TDH just toppled Zuckerberg to number 2!

I am yet to catch up on Due Date and Guzaarish, both of which look tremendously appealing to me! But, as of now, go watch the Boy wonder! Harry Potter is this week's "chosen one!" :)
