Post Revolution Roulette which released in March a couple of years back, the Poets had been stringently active doing tours all across the world. It was a long wait for all fans of the Poets of the Fall, but it was definitely worth it.
Yes, the Poets are back, and in style with their 4th Studio album after rocking world wide charts with Signs of Life, Carnival of Rust and Revolution Roulette.
And their latest offering, "Twilight Theater" hit the streets 3 days back on the 17th.
The first single, Dreaming Wide Awake, which was released a month and a half back had all it took to stage the perfect atmosphere for yet another classic album with the Poets' insignia all over it. Directed by Oskari Sipola, the video is as good as it gets!
Other tracks from the album include War, Change, 15 min flame, Given and Denied, Rewind, Dying to Live, You're still here, Smoke and Mirrors and Heal My Wounds.
On December 9, 2009, the Poets of the Fall had announced the inclusion of the track "War" from Twilight Theater in "Alan Wake", a psychological thriller developed by Remedy Entertainment. The song has amazing lyrics and is one of the best from the album.
Rewind, Given and Denied and 15 min flame are commendable tracks along with You're still here.
Smoke and Mirrors is, as the name suggests, in a way, the continuation of the fashionable play of words the Poets are famous for. Illusion and Dream, from Signs of Life, is the song which comes to mind whenever you listen to Smoke and Mirrors.
However, at the top of the list are Change and Heal My Wounds, both very addictive primarily because of the simply unputdownable music and majorly because of the lyrics, the depth of which can absolutely take you by surprise!
To summarise it all, Twilight Theater is definitely an album to look out for. It's too good to be missed! So, go grab your own version of the 4th studio album from the Poets now!
